The goal with the flag message interface exercise was to create a clever and fun way to message while structuring the interface and interactions around the idea of flags representing each user. How does this solve real-world problems? As someone who based his design decisions on data and critical thinking, I couldn't answer that. But it was worth pulling away from the rules for a moment and going through with the exercise to see how an idea like this can be approached and how the interaction and animation can help amplify the experience and make it pleasant to use. Hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed putting it together!
